Sixth form recruitment for 2020
We are up to almost 250 applicants, including around 90 from BWS. The deadline is next Friday. There was a pleasing turn out for our last open afternoon on Tuesday 21; around 30 people arrived for a talk and a tour.

University offers
These are flowing in for Year 13, including 10 for Oxford and Cambridge (a more ‘normal’ year it would appear, albeit from a relatively small year group of 121)

Debating
The BWS Senior Team will be competing in the final of the Cambridge Union Competition (in Cambridge) later this term, probably on 7 March. They narrowly failed to progress in the regional round of the ESU Competition last week however.

Athletics
11 BWS boys will be representing Wiltshire in Cross Country across 4 age groups – about 25% of the county team! This includes two boys who won their races and are thus County Champions. The Intermediate Boys also won their race in the highly competitive Ken Bailey Relays at Bryanston last week.

Salisbury Business Forum
Met at BWS on Thursday to discuss various developments in the coming year, including the Salisbury Journal Education Awards (which BWS will sponsor once again in 2020) and the Future City Competition, as well as a range of business-school links
