2020 03 02 BWS News Round-up

Shakespeare
Young Shakespeare Company visited BWS on Friday to perform Romeo & Juliet for the whole of Year 8 in the Sports Hall; they also ran an acting workshop – pictures are on twitter. This Thursday (5 March) the whole of Year 10 from BWS will be at The Globe to see Macbeth - beware if you are going to be there!

Drugs Education Talks
Were given to Years 9, 10, 12 and 13 by a visiting speaker (Simon Leigh). Simon also gave an evening talk for parents at which there was an audience of around 100; harrowing but essential stuff, and lots of good parental feedback followed.

Sport
Our senior Basketball Team will now play Richard Huish 6th Form College in their national quarter final. The bad weather continues to play havoc with the Rugby Sevens season – last weekend’s Guildford 7’s fell victim to Storm Jorge. Weather permitting the U18 Rugby boys will play their national semi-final at Dean Close this Thursday.

Coronavirus
We continue to adhere strictly to the guidance issued by Health Protection England and issue information via twitter and email as and when updated material becomes available.
