School News
BWS Prize Giving – on Thursday afternoon seems to have been very successful from all perspectives. It felt different to be in the Cathedral in the daylight, and it was great to emerge into the afternoon sunshine after the event was over. There were plenty of prize-winners’ parents in attendance, and the atmosphere was very positive all round. The text for my speech can be found at https://lnkd.in/dBaqt7i, and a copy of the full programme can also be found via the link on twitter.

Sixth Form recruitment – the school visits have begun in earnest now. Sally Armstrong (Careers Consultant) went to visit Henry Beaufort School in Winchester on Thursday and I will be going to the King’s School Winchester next week. There was, once again, considerable interest as BWS has not visited these schools before. Other visits will be taking place soon, and the new BWS website will be launched soon. The first BWS Open Session takes place in the afternoon at the end of the coming week.

BWS International – members of the International Working Group had a briefing from some Chinese visitors last Monday; they have proposed a school project to be based in Hangzhou .
