School News
11+ - as I write there are between 370-390 candidates sitting their tests around the school. We also have a block rugby fixture against Cranleigh this afternoon, so there are a lot of staff and boys in and around the site, especially in the morning.

Sixth form recruitment – the first visits out to other schools are beginning.  In total we have 44 state schools and a couple of private schools to visit, mainly during the autumn term. We also have a number of open events this term, including two Open Evenings  on 7 November 1700-1930 and then 12 November 1700-1900

Extra-curricular – for the first time we have arranged a day’s team building/problem solving activities for each Year 7 tutor group at Britford Lane, run by H5 Adventure. The rest of the extra-curricular programmes are already full-on, see the whole school calendar on the website for details. Next Saturday we will be hosting a touring rugby squad from Townsville, Australia.

Wessex Partnership Meeting – the Heads of the local secondary schools across Salisbury agreed to open an online petition on the climate emergency across the schools, partly as a response to the forthcoming climate ‘strike’ scheduled for Friday 20 September.
