20191014 - BWS Headmaster's Update

18 Dec 2019
School News
Sport – this weekend is Rugby-free (for BWS that is!). During the week the school teams dominated races at the Salisbury Area Schools’ League. Note the tweet about Vaughn Covil, who left BWS last summer to join Forest Green Rovers on a professional contract – he scored on his debut for the first team, still aged just 16!

Sixth Form Recruitment – on Tuesday Emma Baker and I will be attending John Hanson School for the Andover Schools’ Careers/HE fair – there will be 6 local schools attending, so a very large number of Year 11 pupils should be there over the course of the day. Year 7 Maths

Parents’ Evening – is scheduled for this Thursday at 1900; parents will be finding out about the Maths Curriculum and will also experience a simulated lesson; a little like Radio 4’s daily problem, but they should all be awake!

School Play – the Reduced Shakespeare Theatre’s ‘Shakespeare’s First Long Lost Play’ will be performed at the Studio Theatre here in Salisbury on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 November, kicking off at 1900. Please come along if you are in the local area – tickets are available from the BWS Finance Office. It should be very entertaining, like all of the RST material.
