2019 11 25 - BWS Headmaster's Update

18 Dec 2019
School News
Year 11 Exams – started on Friday and will last for the best part of a week. HM Lectures – last week we welcomed His Honour Judge Bobby Pawson (a current parent) to talk to Year 12; in the coming week Sam Mullins (ex-BWS), Director of the London Transport Museum will also deliver a talk to the Sixth Form. Any further offers from potential lecturers are welcome - please drop me a line. I am looking for about 4-5 sessions during the 2020-2021 academic year...

Sixth Form recruitment – there have been visits to Burgate School, Gillingham School and the Clere School (between Andover and Newbury) during the past week. Applications have started to flow in from both boys and girls,

BWS Carol Service – is scheduled for 1930 on Tuesday 10 December at the Cathedral. Please come if you can as I am sure that it will be a wonderful start to the Christmas Season as ever. Please also note that the annual extravaganza that is the BWS Christmas Concert will be at 1900 in St Martin's Church on 5 December – again a chance to hear the boys’ choral and instrumental skills at their best and also another signpost towards the coming holidays.
