2019 11 05 - BWS Headmaster's Update

Work over the half term break – the Back Gate work is complete; we now have a fine double gate access which (in theory) should be large enough to accommodate a fire engine. The lintels above the Chapel Block windows have been replaced and painted and as a consequence the building’s appearance has been improved significantly. Finally, we are in the process of creating a sixth form indoor games area in one of the rooms on No11 Lawn, to free up Common Room space and create a less testosterone-fuelled atmosphere there.

Sixth Form recruitment – is continuing apace, with an Open Morning today and Open Evenings on Thursday 7 and Tuesday 12 November. I anticipate that the latter two events will be pretty busy, extrapolating from the earlier open events before half term. More school visits are planned during this half term too.

NASA Trip – for the group of senior boys during the break seems to have gone well – see the pictures on twitter.
