Bishop Wordsworth’s School choir and orchestra will be joined by Godolphin and two other schools from the Birmingham area to perform Vivaldi’s masterpiece, Gloria, at the Italianate Church, Wilton. The concert is planned on the back of their performance of Mozart’s Requiem Mass last May, which was performed to a packed audience and was a roaring success.
The Gloria will form the second half of the concert, with the first half being a celebration of the Coronation weekend, where a number of works will have a link to past Royal celebrations. The schools will be joined by Mark Wood on organ and soloists Amy Dickinson (soprano) and Helena Cooke (alto).
